After he glimpsed the truth, the Tathagata used “supreme Buddhist law” to grind away his consciousness, leaving only a wisp of defiant resentment to fall into a stubborn rock on Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Reborn in darkness as a stone monkey, he is as weak as an ant. He casts aside every righteous path of light and steps onto a forbidden road, feeding on pain and devouring darkness. The Great Sage Equal to Heaven of old is already “dead.” Now, only the revenge-crazed demonic ape who returned from annihilation remains. He will tear apart the false Buddhist radiance of the Land of Ultimate Bliss, rally the hidden currents of the Three Realms, and launch a resolute rebellion against the supreme cage of faith.
There is no turning back from this path of slaughter. When the golden headband becomes a shackle and Buddha’s light turns to shadow, he will rewrite the order of things with fire and destruction.
