In the urban "flesh world" made of flesh and blood, memory surgeon Ryan calmly trims the pain of others. When a strange biological door appeared out of thin air in his clinic, leading to a conscious library that was devouring living people and turning them into collections of books, Ryan discovered the remaining clues of Ella's consciousness.
