Lin Wan just bought an old bronze mirror and was sucked into it that night, landing in the room of a little boy in ancient times.
The little boy looked at her warily, held it in for a long time, and asked, "Are you a fairy?"
Lin Wan looked at her ripped jeans and Doraemon T-shirt, and decisively took out two toffees from her pocket: "What do you think?"
Later she found out that the child's name was Shen Yan.
From then on, Lin Wan shuttled back and forth between the two worlds. If she sleeps in modern times, several years may have passed.
She watched Shen Yan grow from a seven-year-old little boy, to a fifteen-year-old silent boy, and then to a twenty-five-year-old cold-faced and cold-hearted powerful minister.
He learned to wait for her. From waiting a few days, to waiting a few years, to waiting a lifetime.
His demands on her were never high: "If you can come, that's enough."
But Lin Wan didn't want to keep him waiting any longer.
When the bronze mirror shattered, Lin Wan thought everything was over. Until that evening after the rain, she saw a young man wearing an ill-fitting sweatshirt by the flower bed downstairs of the rental house, squatting on the roadside and shivering.
He raised his head and looked at her, his eyes as bright as stars.
"This time, it's me who'll go through to find you."
