The starting point of the story is that Wendy "tampered" with the boring speech script at the morning meeting with an impromptu poem. As "punishment", he was handed over to Ling Feng for one-on-one "correction".
Lingfeng tried to establish order for Wendy in his own way: standardized work and rest, neat appearance, and measured words and deeds. However, Wendy "fighted back" in his own unique way: drawing a serious Q-print portrait of Ling Feng on the back of the sonnet he secretly wrote in self-study class; in the deserted music classroom at dusk, he played a soft piece of music that he had never heard before for Ling Feng who was forced to "accompany him to study"; he would point to the sky soaked by the sunset and say that it was like a brilliant fugue, but Ling Feng could not refute.
Conflict and proximity ferment in daily life. Ling Feng found that the gaps in his tightly integrated life were being opened bit by bit by Wendy. He began to get used to the jumping white figure next to him. He would subconsciously turn down the temperature of the air conditioner when the other person fell asleep on the table. He would silently write down the out-of-print poetry collection that Wendy casually mentioned, and use his connections to find it.
And when Wendy's always smiling eyes were alone on the rooftop with only two of them, they rarely felt a hint of quiet loneliness, and asked softly: "President Ling, do you think there is no room for beauty outside the rules?" Ling Feng clearly felt that a corner of the strong fortress in his heart had quietly collapsed.
