Lured to Northern Myanmar, I Ended Up as an Undercover Agent!

To save my mother, I embarked on the “high-paying job” route to northern Myanmar.

When the blindfold was pulled off, what I saw wasn't an office building, but an iron cage. The buzz of stun batons, the clatter of keyboards, and faint screams in the distance: here, lives were measured by performance, and the amount you scammed determined whether you got to eat tomorrow or took a bullet.

On our first escape attempt, we were surrounded in the border rainforest. When the gunshots rang out, warm blood splattered across my face.

“Become one of them, or die.” I chose a third path: to become the hunter.

When I assembled the only device capable of contacting the outside world from parts I'd secretly stashed away, deep in the night, and my encrypted message finally crossed the border to my childhood friend back home, now an anti-fraud police officer, the inside-out hunt began.

From scam compounds in northern Myanmar to the deserts of Africa, from a victim forced into the abyss to a hunter who strikes back of her own accord, this time I want every pair of eyes lurking in the dark to know:

When the prey learns the hunter's rules, it's time for hell to change hands.
