Heavenly Demon of Insect Patterns

In his previous life, he was the Demonic Venerable, a towering figure of the demonic path who ruled a whole domain, using billions of lives as poison-bred Gu and the River of Fate's current as his chessboard.

After a thousand years of power, he was finally slain atop a broken mountain in a joint assault by the immortals, his spirit and body destroyed.

At the moment of death, he used the forbidden art Netherwheel Seal to reverse the mark of his own River of Fate, returning to the age of sixteen with fragmented memories and the most primordial Erosion Mark. He awoke in Black Bamboo Stockade, the body of a young mountain hunter from a village so poor he wasn't even fit to feed the insects.

This time

He walked willingly into the damp insect shed and fed the bugs, not to survive, but to devour.

He fed them his flesh and blood, had them carve patterns into him, and used the Erosion Mark to devour the patterns of other insects, rewrite the circuits of the laws, and gnaw through the threads of fate.

Lowly insect slaves, sect servants, apprentices in the county town, battle formation strategists, sect elders, pawns in the immortal realm...

All living beings drifted in the River of Fate, while he fished above it.

The immortals and Buddhas of the myriad realms demanded his submission, while the raging River of Fate sought to drown him.

Su Ye only gave a cold laugh.

“In my previous life, I swam with the current, and you pushed me all the way to the end.

This time, I'll swim upstream and turn the River of Fate itself into my insect pit.”

Countless insect patterns, the River of Fate in silence.

When the Erosion Mark gnaws through the River of Fate, the old heavens will fall and a new demon will rise.

This is the story of a Demonic Venerable reborn as a lowly insect slave,

who claws his way up from the blood and mud of a mountain village,

and ultimately refines fate itself into a Gu worm.
