I'm Your Moonlight, Too

A woman by birth, a top scholar by title, she takes on the burden of saving her family and steps onto a path to success from which there is no turning back.

Her father died young, her elder brother passed away, and only three helpless women remain: her mother, her sister, and her.

To keep the family from falling into ruin, Xiao Zhiqing burns her skirts and hairpins and takes her deceased brother’s name.

From that day on, Xiao Zhiqing no longer exists. The world knows only Xiao Zhiyi, a young man who has passed the provincial-level imperial examination.

The road to the imperial exams is paved with blood and tears. Disguised as a man, she must tread as carefully as if walking on thin ice.

From the county exam to the prefectural exam and then the provincial exam, she walks forward on a tightrope.

Beneath her tightly bound chest lies a world-shaking secret, while her delicate features conceal a woman’s tender feelings.

At last, her name is announced in the palace hall: she has placed third in the imperial examination. Riding through the streets in celebration, she dazzles the capital.

Noble families seek her favor, a princess takes an interest in her. Princes watch her, and the emperor scrutinizes her…

Over a cup of clear tea and half a volume of leisurely reading, amid the curling aroma of pastries, lie her earth-shaking secret and unyielding ambition.

Watch as the female top scholar navigates noble families, imperial power, and gender, carving out her own path to success from the depths of despair.
