After graduating, a son moves to the big city to pursue his dreams. With his family’s support and his own hard work, he buys a car and a home, gets married, and his wife becomes pregnant. His life is looking up. Then his father is diagnosed with cancer, his employer absconds and he loses his job, his wife suffers a miscarriage, and they divorce.
Afterward, the son finds a new job in brain-computer research. But his father’s cancer worsens. He spends his days talking nonsense, falls unconscious, and approaches death.
The son applies the brain-computer technology his company is developing to his father, allowing him to enter his father’s consciousness and experience his past and the world he knew.
Just as the son finishes and prepares to say goodbye, his father’s consciousness enters his brain through the brain-computer link, taking over his body and gaining his talents and skills. Having gone from a dying cancer patient to a healthy man, the father enjoys life for a while, then focuses his energy on helping his son build a career. In the end, he helps his son launch a successful business and win everything back.
After accomplishing all this, the father formats his own consciousness for his son’s sake, preparing to face his true death.
When the son wakes, he modifies the program to recover the remnants of his father’s data in his brain, then hides them on the dark web. In a sense, this means his father is immortal.
After that, the son often hears about strange events happening around the world. For instance, the president of a country across the ocean suddenly starts talking nonsense. He suspects his father is behind it.
So he uses a program he left behind to contact his father online, but his father never responds. The son knows his father is alive somewhere in this vast network. But how can he find him in such an enormous network?
