Reborn: Laid Off by Penguin from the Start, I Went on a Rampage

Su Yang, a top MCN strategist and award-winning algorithm engineer in 2025, is reborn in 2002 with a head full of viral-content strategies and recommendation algorithms.

That year, the internet bubble has just burst, leaving countless industry talents devastated.

It is also the day he is laid off by the not-yet-mighty Penguin Company for “lacking imagination.”

Faced with an era when internet speeds barely reach a few dozen kilobytes per second, Su Yang smiles.

Who says you need a smartphone to make the next Douyin?

He uses Flash animations to bring cheesy pickup lines to life, setting the internet ablaze!

He uses sensational headlines to rewrite the rules of portal-site traffic!

He develops the world’s first user-profiling recommendation algorithm, making the industry giants, who still rely on selling ad space, tremble.

Ma Putong of Penguin: Su Yang is the true king of social networking!

Jack Ma of Ali: I don’t care about money. My biggest regret is not investing in Su Yang in 2002.

Lei Busi: Su Yang doesn’t know how to code? But he understands people!

While Silicon Valley is still debating technology, Su Yang has already captured the attention of billions around the world.

“In this era, I am the traffic. I am the trend!”
