“Ding! The Unfulfilled Wishes System is bound. Lin Daiyu and modern-day teacher certification candidate Jiang Xu have swapped souls!”
When Jiang Xu opens his eyes, he has become Miss Lin, drifting aboard a pleasure boat on the Jiangnan waterways, with the sobbing Xue Yan at his side. Seeing the Rongguo Mansion’s fleet approaching in the distance, he clenches his tiny fists. This time, Baoyu won’t get to feed his “little sister” any more empty promises. Daiyu’s father’s illness must be treated, her weepy disposition must change, and there will be no tragedy in Dream of the Red Chamber!
Meanwhile, in a rented room in Binhai, Daiyu stares at the unfamiliar, rugged man’s face in the mirror and clutches her skirt in fright. But when Jiang Xu tells her, “Modern medicine can save your father,” she grits her teeth, learns to use a phone and ride the bus, and eventually stands at the front of an elementary school classroom, using her classical wit to keep the whole class of little troublemakers in line.
Jiang Xu in Dream of the Red Chamber: he talks back to Baoyu, protects Lin Ruhai, and uses modern ideas to revive the Lin family business. Daiyu in the modern world: she teaches, enjoys the scenery, and lives a life sweeter than milk tea.
But as the achievements on the System panel keep piling up, Jiang Xu grows troubled. “Daiyu, we’ve maxed out our achievement points... Do we really have to switch back?”
