The Minister of Justice Keeps Trying to Undermine Me

[Ensemble Cast + Strange Cases + Sweet Romance]

Shen Qinghuan, the illegitimate daughter of the Minister of Rites, ran away from a marriage to a fifty-year-old, lame general. She broke free of her restraints and went in search of freedom, but though she had freedom, she was nearly out of money. After finally making some extra cash by posing as a celestial maiden, she was exposed with a single remark by Lu Jingci, the cold-faced but faintly warm-hearted Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review. Under the temporary alias Shen Xiaoqi, she and Xiao Yu, the young master of a merchant family, planned to open a shop together that would take on missing-item searches and investigative cases. They named it the Tracing Pavilion.

The cool-headed assassin and guard Lin Mo, Su Yunxi, heir to a family of doctors and poison experts, and Chu Yao, the youngest storyteller, joined the group one after another.

From then on, the six roamed the martial world together, specializing in “strange cases” that the authorities ignored and ordinary people could not solve.

(A dried-fish’s-eye view) Their lovey-dovey daily life

“Qinghuan, I think I have a fever~” (Only kisses and cuddles will make me better. Intimacy is the cure.)

“I think you’re dreaming. I’ll get Yunxi to stick you with a couple of needles and you’ll be fine...”

“Sweetheart, can I have a kiss~”

“No!”

“Okay, I won’t ask next time.”

“Lu Jingci, have you seen my handkerchief?”

“I have.”

“Where is it?”

“In my arms. You can take a new one.” (Acting coy)

“I won’t let her become a stepping stone for this era. I’ll let her stand on my shoulders and become its guiding light, so we can break these feudal rites, rotten customs, and outdated conventions together.”

“When we go out, everyone will know I’m her husband, while she’ll still be herself...”
