The protagonist, Zheng Lin, is a descendant of the Zheng family, a top student at Qingbei University, a master of materials science and mechanical engineering, and a legendary innate traveler. Time traveled to the body of 7-year-old Zheng Sen, a direct descendant of the Zheng family, who later became Zheng Chenggong. As the most knowledgeable pioneer of maritime hegemony, he tried to change the current situation during the Chongzhen period of the late Ming Dynasty, and ultimately led the Ming Dynasty to become an empire on which the sun never sets.
