After overwork kills former office drone Ming Yu, he unexpectedly lands in Heaven’s bureaucracy as an intern examiner for the Heavenly Dao Administration. His first assignment is to help an earth goddess on the verge of losing her job improve her KPIs. Faced with young people leaving and dwindling offerings, Ming Yu brings out his bag of tricks: social media campaigns and cross-industry collaborations. But the cold, stern fairy inspector Han Shuang publicly reprimands him for “disrupting the order of worship.”
He gradually discovers, however, that the divine realm’s crisis goes far beyond KPIs. There are disturbances in the southeast, factional power struggles, and even Fairy Han Shuang has secrets. Ming Yu decides to make money, build connections, and find a powerful patron, all while drawing closer to that workaholic fairy through banter and probing questions. His career as a godly office worker begins with a comeback in Heaven’s workplace!
