On a rain-soaked night in Siracusa, with the air smelling of rust, the Old Wolf’s Throat bar receives two unexpected visitors: Texas, a gravely wounded Lupo assassin on the run, and a white-haired Feline who has forgotten even his own name, Ke Wen. He is dazed and frail, yet instinctively grips his longsword when an assassin closes in, driving the attacker back with surgical precision without taking their life. His memories are a void, yet when Texas is near death, he uses medical techniques so chillingly precise that he cleans and dresses her wounds and stops the bleeding. Who is he? Why does his body retain the swordsmanship of the Victoria Royal Guard Academy, while his lips murmur an unfamiliar name: “Hui Jie”?

Forced to travel together, they make their way through rain-soaked alleys and relentless pursuit. Ke Wen gradually senses the secrets of his body: sword forms embedded in his muscle memory, medical knowledge flashing through his mind, and a debilitating weakness that keeps eating away at him from deep within his bones. When Texas invites him to leave Siracusa in gratitude for his help, he agrees, unaware that another power is already watching the road ahead.

Rhodes Island, a medical organization that operates amid natural disasters and war, is investigating a top-secret facility called the Sarcophagus beneath the ruins of Chernobog. They are searching for the “Doctor,” someone with the power to turn the tide of battle. An operation unexpectedly draws Ke Wen in and takes him to the Sarcophagus. Amid the Reunion Movement’s encirclement and the shadows of a third-party force, he awakens the sleeper with a physician’s precision and guards the way out with a swordsman’s ferocity.
