After This Young Scholar Was Kept by a Female Bandit

Also known as Spring Breeze Sweeps Through Yumen

*Bandit queen Rakshasa (▼皿▼#) × scheming, smooth-talking scholar ^o^

In a nutshell: Poor scholar Xie Yuhuai’s family falls on hard times, and he gets held up by the female bandits of Yumen Stronghold.

Clutching his bundle and trembling, he asks, “Miss, are you here for my money or my virtue?”

Yu Ying levels her long saber at him. “You! My mother said if I don’t snatch myself a husband this year, I’ll have to inherit the stronghold and raise pigs!”

Later, Yumen Stronghold is thrown into chaos:

The scholar turns the account book into A Complete Guide to Postpartum Care for Sows;

The bandits are forced to get up early and memorize The Analects;

Whenever Yu Ying goes on watch, she catches her “fortress husband” sneaking off to write romantic stories...

She flies into a rage. “Xie! When are you finally going to run away?”

Xie Yuhuai smiles and hands her his latest manuscript. “My lady, the story is still missing one final chapter: The Bandit Bride’s Guide to Spoiling Her Husband.”

“...”

#We agreed this was a story about taking someone by force, so why am I the one being wrapped around someone’s finger?#

One moment, Xie Yuhuai is about to open the sixty-second voice message from his thesis advisor correcting his paper; the next, he transmigrates into the old-school, forced-marriage novel he’d stayed up all night reading:

The Scholar Husband and the Charming Rakshasa

The original story’s script for “the frail male lead, who gets [bleeped] to death”?

How interesting.

Xie Yuhuai adjusts his imaginary glasses, earned with a doctorate in psychology. “I know how to solve this one.”
