The People of Ting Tong

He has a pair of extraordinary eyes that can see the world's deepest secrets and peer into the coldest hearts.

Shu Ye was born with "Pavilion Eyes," which let him glimpse things ordinary people cannot: the flow of ley lines beneath ancient tombs, the movement of five thousand years of baleful energy, and even the tangled threads of cause and effect. The Digging and Preservation Sect branded him a harbinger of disaster, broke both his legs, and threw him out of the mountain gate.

At death's door, he clutched the bronze mirror brought out of the time of the Yellow Emperor and the Yan Emperor. A sigh echoed from within the mirror, crossing five thousand years: "When the time comes, rebuild the Yu Palace."...

From then on, the tombs he excavated held no gold or silver, only ancient secrets. His companions were all misfits or "useless trash." Together, they started out in a ruined temple and, amid a chaotic age, built a sanctuary where all those rejected by the world could find shelter: the Yu Palace.

When a sleeping ancient conspiracy awakens and an organization called the "Definers" seeks to rewrite the laws of heaven and earth, they discover that the source of every calamity points to Shu Ye's cursed eyes...

He will rob not a tomb, but the truth of the world. He will protect not treasures, but the family behind him, made up of misfits and useless trash, bound together by ties thicker than blood.

And at the end of the road, he will use his eyes to redefine reality.
