Apocalypse: One Bite at a Time, Little Zombies, Om Nom Nom

Amid the smoke and flames of the apocalypse, Shi Jin, a superpowered human, is betrayed and abandoned by his teammates during a mission to wipe out a zombie group. Gravely wounded and on the brink of death, he runs into a zombie: a monstrously strong one that stares at him with only one thought in mind, “emergency rations.” It drags him back to its place to take its time munching on him. Summoning the last of his strength, Shi Jin uses the cunning of a dying man to bluff: “Come with me. There are living people who smell better and are more filling than I am, plus crystal cores that can make you stronger.” Bang Bang tilts its head. The zombie’s muddled mind is swayed by “smell better” and “get stronger,” and it actually lets go, becoming Shi Jin’s “little sidekick.” And so, this bizarre duo of one human and one zombie is born.
