Shen Yuemian was a modern-day orphan who had worked her way up from the bottom to become a well-known reporter in her field. Before she could continue making her mark, an accident sent her transmigrating to the 1970s, into the body of another Shen Yuemian: the real daughter who had been mistakenly sent away.
The adopted daughter was a scheming green tea, determined to be the Shen family's only daughter. She saw Shen Yuemian as a thorn in her side and, together with her younger brother, signed her up to go to the countryside.
Fortunately, Shen Yuemian's biological parents weren't completely unreasonable. They treated both girls fairly and sent their adopted daughter back to her own parents.
Shen Yuemian went to the village where her former adoptive parents lived. She enjoyed the rural retirement life she'd always dreamed of while studying and making money at the same time.
While Shen Yuemian ran a small business, the adopted daughter flirted with men. While Shen Yuemian studied and got into university, the adopted daughter got married, convinced she'd made a good match. And while Shen Yuemian's career kept rising, the adopted daughter was criticized and despised by her mother-in-law for not having a son…
Shen Yuemian's life kept getting better, while the adopted daughter's kept getting worse.
The adopted daughter had assumed Shen Yuemian would suffer miserably in the countryside. Instead, she became a village primary school teacher, got into university, returned to the city with her head held high, and married a man from a military family. In the end, she even became the wife of a division commander, while the adopted daughter could only bow her head and curry favor with her.
Along with a successful career, Shen Yuemian found the family affection, friendship, and love she had never known in her modern life.
Lin Su'an pouted. He was practically turning into a statue from waiting for his wife: “Mianmian, we've been dating for ages. When are you going to promote me to husband?”
Very interesting, the story is good
Not bad, worth a look
