City Ashes: A Delivery Guy's Record of Supernatural Powers

At a murder scene at three in the morning, delivery rider Chen Mo catches sight of a shadow slipping through a window, and a short blade flowing with blue light. As police sirens tear through the rain, a strange burn appears on his arm, and half an “S” mark surfaces on his wrist. From that moment on, his ordinary life is shattered. He once thought the world was nothing but daily necessities and delivery orders that chased him to meet their deadlines. Then he discovered that some people could crush steel bars with their bare hands, others could manifest blades in the online world, and the power that occasionally ran wild at his fingertips was quietly stirring the city’s undercurrents. The black coats of the “Keepers of Order” followed him like shadows. They said he was “Ember,” someone who had to be harvested. An old boxer hidden among ordinary folk handed him half a moldy loaf of bread and said that “Ember” burned within him. Meanwhile, the man at the pinnacle of wealth wore a complete “S” on his wrist and smiled with an energy capable of devouring everything. As source energy burned through his veins and those around him were dragged into the hunt because of him, Chen Mo finally understood: some fires can’t be avoided. You can only let them burn brighter. He clenched his grease-stained delivery bag and raised his fist at the shadows in the steel forest. “I’m not your Ember. I’m the wildfire that will burn through this order.” This is the story of an ordinary delivery rider who, amid the secret war between the superpowered, goes from fugitive to the man who flips the table.
