From the shou’s point of view / Compassionate, tranquil, gravely ill gong × sensitive, brilliant, black-hearted shou / Linshui Immortal Venerable × Gu Tingjue
In the 130th year of Zhaohua, the Dao Sect held its grand selection, as it did once every ten years. That was also the year Gu Tingjue met the person he would never forget: Linshui Immortal Venerable of the Dao Sect, who would later become his master.
Because of “karma,” he was chosen to become the eldest disciple under Linshui Immortal Venerable. Favored by the venerable one, he reached the Nascent Soul stage in a hundred years.
But a century of careful guidance from his master and nearly a hundred years spent with his fellow disciples earned only Gu Tingjue’s ruthless betrayal. During the war between immortals and demons, he broke his oath and joined the demons. Another hundred years later, he ascended to the position of Demon Lord, taking the title Heaven-Slayer.
In the 496th year of Zhaohua, as the world stood on the brink of apocalypse, the Heaven-Slayer Demon Lord single-handedly drove back Karma and stabilized the entire world.
Afterward, he sealed himself away at the source of extreme cold.
