"Mountain Fire Identification" tells the story of Chen Youtian, an old hunter who burned wasteland according to his ancestral "Burning Calendar". However, he was accused by the government of causing a mountain fire because the new charcoal kiln changed the wind direction. He went to court holding an ancient book that recorded centuries-old mountain rules, trying to prove the truth of a "man-made disaster" in the collision between "ancient laws" and "new policies." This is not only a defense of survival, but also a fierce confrontation between traditional wisdom and the changes of the times.
