"Old Chronicles of Qinghe" tells the story of a century-old battle over waterways. The wealthy Zhao Youcai built a giant waterwheel to cut off the lifeline of the downstream. The farmers were on the verge of extinction and jointly filed a lawsuit. However, the Zhao family used the land deed as a shield and claimed that the river banks were private property. Chen Laogeng, an 80-year-old farmer, came out silently and recited the century-old "Qinghe River Works Chronicles" in court. He used the old government records as a sword to point out the secrets of the wealthy ancestors who secretly changed the river course and occupied the public river. A seemingly disparate confrontation revealed the truth buried by time on a dry river bed.
