Reborn as the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty

I open my eyes and find myself in the Leopard House, with the eunuch Wei Zhongxian seated beside me. Fortunately, I can see the “inner-thought comments” floating over his head. Good grief, almost the whole screen is filled with murderous intent. I instantly turn into a master actor, pretending to be foolish while pulling out a few modern tricks. I make things appear out of nowhere and set paper money ablaze, leaving the eunuch faction staring in stunned disbelief.

Since they've all decided the emperor is only obsessed with woodworking, I go along with it and elevate this “hobby” into “royal scientific research.” I build a simple bicycle and improve the spinning wheel in the palace, then set up a private laboratory and hang a gold-lettered plaque over the door: “The Emperor's Laboratory.”

In private, Empress Zhang and I form a “gossip alliance,” meeting every day to comment on the palace intrigues. The factional struggles at court rage so fiercely they blot out the sun and moon, while I… hide in the laboratory, tightening screws and eating sunflower seeds. Every now and then, I show up at court, hopping from side to side and playing dumb. Don't ask. The answer is: keep things steady and quietly build strength.
