After I Stopped Running the One-Yuan Bus, the Villagers Who Reported Me Regretted It

I took over the village's only one-yuan bus route and kept the fare unchanged for ten years.

All so the elderly people left behind in the mountains could travel into town to sell a few vegetables.

Then a college student home for a family visit reported the bus for being "run-down and having no air conditioning." The bus was impounded, and the route was forcibly shut down.

So I sold the bus and went to the city to start a luxury chauffeur service for the rich.

On market day, the student watched as elderly villagers carried hundreds of pounds of vegetables on their backs, walking dozens of miles under the blazing sun to reach town, while the station stood empty. The whole village tore into him until he couldn't hold his head up.
