The story takes place in the bustling modern city-Hancheng.
The protagonist Zhang Luo starts out as an antique shop owner on the verge of bankruptcy. He uses the "Tracing of Everything" golden finger to explore forgotten historical secrets, ancient inheritance and power nodes in the reinforced concrete of modern cities. He used "antiques" as a medium to leverage the power structure of the "inner world", grew from a chess piece to a chess player, and finally established his own underground order under the surface of the city.
