Great Tang: I Was Told to Teach the Crown Prince, Not Put a Sack Over His Head

After transmigrating to the Tang Dynasty, Li Ke becomes the Prince of Wu, a royal who is supposedly "destined to die without fail."

Knowing that he will eventually be framed and killed by Zhangsun Wuji, Li Ke decides to support his eldest brother, the Crown Prince, and live carefree as a prince himself!

He sees Li Chengqian trembling after being scolded as a "second Qin Er Shi" by a pedantic teacher, even contemplating rebellion.

Furious, Li Ke says, "Don't panic, Big Brother. That old geezer is messing with your head. Put a sack over him and come with me!"

The next day, Li Shimin stares at the Crown Prince's tutor, black and blue, and falls into deep thought.

Li Ke argues confidently, "Father, this is how we help Big Brother overcome his inner demons and rebuild his confidence!"

From then on, the Tang Dynasty takes a sharp turn.

Li Chengqian: "Third Brother is right. Dignity lies only at the point of a blade! I'll slaughter the Turks!"

Li Tai: "The throne? Not even a dog would take it! I'm going with Third Brother to study natural philosophy and blow Goguryeo to smithereens!"

Fang Xuanling: "Your Majesty, Prince Wu may be unruly, but he has brought the treasury a hundred years' worth of tax revenue!"

Years later, Li Shimin looks at the Crown Prince, now brimming with martial valor and even bold enough to challenge a khagan to single combat. Then he looks at the court officials, who have to coax Li Ke out of bed every day so he will become emperor, and breaks down.

"You rebellious brat! I told you to support the Crown Prince. Who told you to take him to dance at a Turk encampment?!"
