[Chinese historical figures + ghost stories + cards + one heroine]
Ordinary life is being quietly consumed.
Lu Qiang is an ordinary young man struggling to put down roots in a big city, but for a year he has been plagued by “broken dreams.”
In his dreams, he is a general fighting on the battlefield, a king standing alone at the top, and a wandering swordsman roaming the martial world.
Fragments of memory from the cracks in history tear at him night after night, only to recede without a trace each morning.
Then, on his birthday, an absurd-seeming incident becomes the beginning of everything changing.
A disheveled Daoist chased him for three blocks, forced a jade pendant into his arms, and left him with a warning: “A calamity of blood is coming. There is one slim chance of survival.”
That night, before the warmth of his birthday surprise had even faded, a knock that could not have come from a human sounded outside the window, where thick fog swirled.
Evil spirits were at the door, their baleful energy surging into the sky.
The apartment that had always sheltered his family instantly became a deadly cage.
His boss was near death, his younger sister was terrified and helpless, his younger brother was exposed to vicious claws, and even the loyal dog that protected its master lay bloodied on the floor.
There was no retreat and nowhere to hide!
Everything he had left was behind him. Before him stood only a monster ready to devour its prey.
In the depths of utter despair and his determination to protect those he loved, the jade pendant on Lu Qiang’s chest suddenly grew scorching hot. Deep in his soul, a rusted valve burst open!
“Your lord is in danger. Burn your soul!”
“Fiend God, heed my command!”
The ancient warrior known as the Vicious One, Dian Wei, answered the summons!
Dian Wei was only the first card revealed.
From Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han to brilliant strategists and fierce generals, immortal heroes and ghosts, countless figures who once shone throughout the long river of Chinese history can appear at the call of a command, slaying demons and vanquishing evil!
