A Guide to the Imperial Examinations in Ancient Times

This story is slow to get going and has no System. Enter with caution. I love wuxia, so I’ve added some wuxia elements. If that’s not your thing, please don’t flame me!

Li Chang’an transmigrates into the Great Yan Kingdom and becomes the son of a wealthy family in ancient times. He had planned to enjoy a comfortable life as a rich young master, but in a world where Confucianism reigns supreme and all other pursuits are considered inferior, he resolutely throws himself into the imperial examinations to protect his happiness.

He creates the School of Natural Studies, establishes an institute, trains scholars in practical disciplines, improves fire lances and cannons, builds steamships and airplanes, welcomes foreign peoples, opens up sea routes, and lays the foundations for an unprecedented legacy.

Watch as Li Chang’an puts his household in order, braves the imperial examinations, navigates the official world, studies under renowned masters, makes close friends, defeats powerful foes, establishes practical studies, and cultivates talent. Taking one careful step at a time, he ultimately achieves top honors in all six levels of the examinations and gains immense influence at court. He leads the great ship of Great Yan through wind and waves, as all nations come to pay tribute.

I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
