Record of Jiangnan's Haunted Towns

“My name is Jiang Nan. My former boss paid 250,000 to buy my life. He said my Four Pillars are all Yin, making me the perfect sacrifice for someone with the finest destiny.”

He never expected me to survive.

And he never expected my old granny to be the last spirit medium for miles around.

She gave her life to shield me from my death tribulation, then placed the family heirloom, the Twelve Methods of the Xuan Sect, in my hands.

She left me with a prophecy she could have told me sooner: “You can’t escape inheriting the Jiang family’s legacy as its seventh generation.”

Now I carry that battered old book, along with a brother who’s cleverer than a ghost and a Daoist who stole everything his master owned before coming down the mountain.

All I want is to settle a private score with that man surnamed Zhou.

Instead, I’ve unwittingly torn open a strange corner of the other world hidden beneath this city.

They all say I’m doomed to bad luck.

We’ll see who ends up dead in the end.
