Main pairing: Bingjiu, though there may be a little of everything else. (Honestly, they all feel pretty satisfying.) The master and disciple become master and disciple again, and gradually develop feelings for each other. Throughout the story, Shen Qingqiu is assumed to be Shen Jiu. The world is divided into five realms: the Immortal Realm, the Demon Realm, the Demon Beast Realm, the Netherworld (Ghost Realm), and the Human Realm.
Early on:
Jiu: I mysteriously lost my memories and ended up in a living hell? Then I somehow got them back and discovered my own origins? And my disciple captured me as a prisoner?
Later on:
Jiu: I awakened my bloodline by chance? Why am I still surrounded by one mess after another? Never mind, I’ll deal with them one at a time. Things are already like this, so what difference does a little more chaos make?
