Gao Changgong (541-573), the fourth son of Emperor Wenxiang Gao Cheng of the Northern Qi Dynasty, one of the four most beautiful men in ancient China, and a famous general of the Northern Qi Dynasty. Because his appearance was too handsome to intimidate the enemy, he often wore a ferocious mask in battle and repeatedly performed extraordinary feats. In the end, because of his outstanding achievements, he was sentenced to death by his successor Gao Wei at the age of thirty-three.
