The Shackles of Divine Revelation

In a fate dictated by divine prophecy, we are each other’s sharpest weapons, and the only keys capable of piercing these shackles.

Dongfang Yao can foresee destiny, yet fell in love with his destined nemesis, Nangong Ci, before the prophecy ever came to pass. Nangong Ci can twist reality, but cannot change the rule that makes his heart flutter for that person again and again. When the prophecy locks four noble heirs inside the same academy, they are forced to become the enemies and lovers fate has ordained.

The shackles of a thousand years of family tradition bind one hand; the backlash of the prophecy’s power brings searing pain to the other. Defy it, and they suffer blindness and hallucinations. Draw close, and love and hate intertwine. To rewrite the future in which Nangong Ci is gravely wounded, Dongfang Yao willingly sacrifices all his memories. Nangong Ci, however, tears through time and space, engraving every moment Dongfang Yao has forgotten into his own bones and blood: “Every time you forget, I’ll make you fall in love with me all over again.”

Meanwhile, Ximen Lie can sense everyone’s emotions, yet cannot read the sincerity beneath Beitang Jing’s gentle smile. Beitang Jing commands countless plants, yet cannot make sense of the love vine growing wildly within him for Ximen Lie. When their pain becomes one and their lives are bound together, a relationship that began in scheming finally blossoms into twin flowers amid the ashes.

When the four gifted heirs unleash their powers of foresight, reality-warping, life-sensing, and plant control all at once, the shackles of prophecy begin to break. But their freely chosen path turns out to be this: under the boundless stars, they willingly bind themselves to one another.

“Breaking fate doesn’t mean escaping the price. It means choosing who to share the rest of your life with.”

This is a contest between four kings, with souls as the wager and one another as the prize. Beneath the starry skies of Qinglan Academy, destiny and rebellion, reason and fervor, pain and pleasure are weaving a web more impossible to unravel than any prophecy.
