Marriage first, love later / sweet everyday romance
Jing Yi married Lu Ye when she was 20 and he was 25. Soon after they registered their marriage, he went deep behind enemy lines on a top-secret mission. Their only communication was the salary that landed in her account like clockwork every month.
Jing Yi understood that he loved his country, not her.
She did her best to be a good military wife.
Five years later,
her husband returned from his mission.
Jing Yi followed the rule that his duties came first, handling everything on her own and never bothering him.
She accepted their dull, polite marriage, where they treated each other with respect but little warmth.
But his gaze grew more and more intense, and passionate words slipped from his lips. At night, he became even more uninhibited.
This was not his usual manner, but the wildness that had long been suppressed deep within him.
He never said he loved her. Yet when he learned that she had received help from the older boy who lived next door when they were young, he gripped her by the waist, again and again.
“Jing Yi, I’m your husband.”
“I want you to think of me first whenever something happens.”
“I want you to rely on me.”
“I love my country, and I love you.”
Lu Ye, the youngest son of the illustrious Lu family, had been rebellious and untamed since childhood. At sixteen, he was sent to the military for training.
When he returned, he had traded suits for uniforms. He was now a stoic, composed elite soldier.
His life’s mission was to serve his country and protect its people.
As for marriage, he had only a sense of duty to offer. He could give neither companionship nor love.
His wife, Jing Yi, respected and understood him.
But he was growing less and less fond of how sensible and obedient she was.
Real soldiers are more cruel than this. Thank you to the author for bringing us the great love of country and the small love of family. After reading Yiyi, I had some feelings for the captain. I felt the happiness when we were together, the worry when we were separated, the helplessness, and the only hope of living. This is the responsibility to the country. Yiyi is very tenacious, and the endurance of the partner. It is not easy for the two of them to go from not loving each other and respecting each other as close relatives, to liking each other and dare not say it, to liking each other, and finally falling in love. The sense of responsibility and understanding of the military wife is a reassurance for the soldiers in the rear, Bei Bei and Yang Lin love each other and are honest. They sacrificed themselves for the sake of their two families, and finally got back together after going through ups and downs. Bei Bei became mature in thinking, and Yang Lin has been preparing for the future. After watching Bei Bei and Yang Lin, I couldn't help but think of myself. They were young and energetic, immature, and did not explain themselves. They complained about each other and missed each other. After reading several chapters, I cried uncontrollably. The two relationships made us understand how to cherish the present, feel the present, let go of the past, look forward to the future, and wish each other the best at all times.
The writing of this book is smooth, without any too many twists and turns. It is also full of respect for Uncle Hat, and it also writes about this greatness. Especially through the third perspective of Beibei and Yang Lin, it can better portray Lu Ye and Yiyi. I jumped at the beginning and then turned back. I read it a second time very carefully. I think this book is good-looking and I highly recommend it to everyone.
It's really beautiful and well written! I prefer reading novels with military themes 😄
Soldiers are positive and responsible, and they deserve praise.
This is the first time I read such a profound military love story, and the righteousness of family and country is even more touching. I hope the author writes more and better works, come on!
It's quite good. Why is the rating so low? There are no twists and turns. The plot is also good. It's worth recommending.
Military marriage is sacred and great, and the plot content is really real 👍 👍 👍
The description in this book is very real. There is not always peace in the world, but there are people who are carrying a heavy burden and moving forward. The emotional lines between the male and female protagonists in the first half are very well written, and the sacrifice of the soldiers and the post-war trauma of the male protagonist later made me cry.
It's beautiful, why is the rating so low?
Really super invincible and beautiful. Highly recommended.
