The Seventh Leaf: Roots and Leaves That Live Forever

A fanfiction based on Soldiers Sortie

[She brings a quiet revolution.]

Xu Qiye has a library in her heart, filled with the wisdom of countless worlds.

But she chooses the hardest path: forge herself into steel, then infuse that steel with warmth.

From Xia Rongshu to the Army Medical University, from Steel Seventh Company to Old A, she draws on everything she has learned to answer one question:

Soldiers are too good at “toughing it out”, they’ll carry a body full of old injuries and still smile and say they’re fine.

So, sporting the neatest crew cut and carrying the most forward-thinking ideas, she becomes the most unusual presence in this ironclad force.

She can get a stubborn soldier-king to follow his rehab plan, make her arrogant older brother break the rules for her, and inspire the elite special forces commander to entrust her with his back and his trust.

At first, they think it’s just a genius being capricious.

Later, they understand: it is compassion that transcends time, and protection that will never yield.

“I don’t need you to put me on a pedestal,” Xu Qiye says. “I’m willing to bend down and become the earth that lifts you up as you run.”
