"Painting Dream Life" revolves around Qin Xiao, a talented but frustrated young painter, unfolding his growth story over more than ten years. At first, he and his friend An Yifan "failed repeatedly" together, entering various small art exhibitions, encountering failures, being misunderstood, and conflicts with family and love. He and Lin Mian met in frustration, and the collision between music and painting kept sparking, from saving each other to moving forward hand in hand. With Wu Yue's encouragement, Qin Xiao gradually entered the broader art circle, facing the test of artistic ideals and utilitarian reality; he competed, misunderstood, and joined forces with Luo Qi to resolve the crisis in the circle.
