After a fragment of a magical world crashed into it, the world began to grow strange and fantastical.

Mysterious creatures known as “Nightmare Beasts” appeared across the globe. They ignored bullets and feared no explosions, rendering humanity’s vaunted modern weapons useless. Just as despair began to spread, the magical girls descended.

No one knew where they came from, but they were the only ones who could truly drive back the Nightmare Beasts. Driven by their instinct to survive, humanity chose to accept these magical girls who had suddenly appeared.

Late one night, Bai Xing was casually browsing the internet for games when a mysterious game link caught his eye.

After he clicked it, the words “Magical Girl RPG” flashed across a crude pixel-art screen. The style looked decidedly “inappropriate.” Curious, he clicked through.

The background story on the screen made Bai Xing’s eyes light up. He couldn’t help blurting out:

“So… are there defeat CGs?”

As soon as the words left his mouth, the screen suddenly went dark. A few startling red words appeared:

“Why don’t you come in and see for yourself?”

The next moment, the scene on the computer began to twist and warp. Its light swallowed his entire field of vision.

And so, this world unexpectedly welcomed a “player” who refused to play by the rules.
