Rebirth of Xu Yanji: I Am Xu Dishan's Daughter

Xu Yanji (January 13, 1933 - January 13, 2014) was the youngest daughter of the modern Chinese writer Xu Dishan. Her life has been ups and downs with the times, from being a member of a well-known family to being imprisoned and then marrying an illiterate peasant. In her later years, she looked back on the past by writing an autobiography. Her experience can be called a unique microcosm of the fate of Chinese intellectuals in the 20th century.
