Apocalypse Rebirth: My Underground Bunker Is Too Comfortable

Mechanical engineering genius Lu Chen starved to death miserably in a laboratory during the apocalypse, then was reborn two years before the disasters began.

He sold his patents and spent tens of billions to acquire a valley surrounded by mountains on three sides. Using robots of his own invention, he began digging and building at a furious pace.

A three-story villa aboveground, and a six-level fortress a hundred meters underground, complete with living quarters, industrial machinery, an ecological farm, an energy center, even an oxygen park and an underground river.

The apocalypse arrived. Temperatures worldwide soared to 80 degrees, then plunged into an instant freeze, turning the outside world into hell on earth.

But Lu Chen, his girlfriend, and her best friend lived in their impregnable fortress, farming, raising livestock, developing technology, and livestreaming delicious food.

While survivors gnawed on bark on the frozen plains, they enjoyed hot pot in their warm fortress. While raiders fought to the death over a single ration bar, they watched movies about the stars on a holographic screen.

From a fortress for one, to an alliance of humanity, and then to the vast sea of stars.

This is a story of being reborn, technology, protection, and how to live like an immortal in the apocalypse.
