This is a troubled time where the seven kingdoms are divided and wars are raging. Li Dahan, a young man from Chang'an, is involved in a power struggle and war due to a misunderstanding. He, together with the declining aristocrat Chu Xiyu, the knight-errant Han Buhui, the market geek Zhao Laizi, and the profiteer Qian Fushou, navigated the troubled world in a process that was intertwined with humor and thrills. The six people have their own talents and occasionally ridicule each other, but they can always work together to resolve the crisis. They not only have to avoid the pursuit of the heroic warlord Wang Chaohui, but they are also unwilling to be mediocre and bravely pursue survival and freedom. In the midst of displacement, everyone explores the true meaning of friendship and love, and gradually grows into characters who can control their own destiny. The whole story uses a relaxed and humorous tone to tell how little people lived a graceful life in the ups and downs of the big era, and finally each of them ushered in a turning point in fate and destiny.
