What? I Woke Up as a County Magistrate?

A modern good-for-nothing transmigrates to ancient times and becomes a county magistrate, with just three taels of silver from the start.

Lin Qingqin, a master of slacking off at work, dies suddenly and transmigrates into the body of an unlucky magistrate in an impoverished county. Faced with a mess of poverty, disorder, and strange problems, he draws on his meager modern knowledge:

He uses PowerPoint thinking to run the county, Excel logic to manage the accounts, and workplace jargon to deal with his superiors.

The results:

Fermenting manure unexpectedly boosts crop yields.

Crime-drama tricks solve a baffling murder.

KPI assessments get the whole county competing to work harder!

He also has a band of “poor unfortunate” teammates:

A rigid secretary, a tough-as-nails constable, and a master bookkeeper who’s great at cooking the books.

Every one of them has a story.

When a conspiracy at court comes knocking, he looks at the schools, waterwheels, and specialty market he has built, scratches his head, and asks the imperial inspector:

“How about I start by reporting next quarter’s results?”

A story about someone who transmigrates to ancient times with half-baked knowledge, tries to slack off in earnest, and accidentally changes the world.

In a nutshell:

A little modern common sense goes a long way, especially when you have a team of incredible allies.
