In Republican-era Northeast China, strange incidents abound, each hiding a mystery! At the Grain in Ear festival, a steamed ritual drives out demons; on the night of the summer solstice, a coffin conceals a secret in a grave; during Minor Heat, a haunted house cries out for justice; at White Dew, a plot lurks by an ancient well; and at Cold Dew, a corpse surfaces in a dry well... Zhang Jiu Shu and Hu Cuihua wield secret Daoist arts, traveling far and wide to investigate bizarre cases tied to the solar terms and uncovering the truth behind illicit affairs, doomed romances, and conspiracies at ancient wells.
