1. Main character: Mo Xuan, a Venerable of the Chaos Poison Dao from the Sea of Ten Thousand Poisons. He commands the twin powers of destruction and purification. Though detached by nature, he has firm principles and makes patrolling the sea of stars and protecting the order of all the heavens his mission.
2. World setting: The story spans the Sea of Ten Thousand Poisons, Mo Xuan’s main domain of cultivation; the Beast World, where beastman tribes dwell; and countless affiliated worlds. The Chaos Poison Dao reigns supreme in the power system, complemented by the power of faith. Combined, the two can unleash the might to create or destroy worlds.
Mo Xuan takes on disciples, helps them conquer lands and forge new realms, and saves their worlds.
3. Central conflicts: How human desire distorts pure power; how the power of faith mutates from a force of protection into one that turns against its followers; and the choices Mo Xuan must make between “destruction” and “salvation.”
