During the Northern Song dynasty, Liu Zhen, a villager from Qianzhou, was working in the fields when he overheard Beggars' Sect disciples recounting Qiao Feng's heroic feat of charging alone into the Liao camp and striking down the enemy commander. Their tale planted the seed of a dream of life in the martial world in his heart.
On a trip into town, he unexpectedly became caught up in the pursuit of Duan Yu, heir to the Dali throne, by the foreign monk Jiumozhi, and stumbled upon a Sanskrit scripture concealing a great secret. Through a twist of fate, his extraordinary aptitude allowed him to master Shaolin's legendary Yijin Jing on his own. He also happened to meet Duan Yu, and from that point on, he was transformed and embarked on the path of martial arts.
To return the scripture and settle the matter, Liu Zhen traveled all the way to Shaolin on Mount Song. The abbot and senior monks took a liking to him and taught him Shaolin's most formidable arts. From then on, he cultivated both Zen and martial arts, undergoing a complete transformation.
Once he entered the martial world, he stood up for the wronged and championed justice. A fateful trip to Dali drew him into the conflicts of the martial world, and his admiration for Qiao Feng led him into a shocking Beggars' Sect conspiracy, along with a series of momentous events, including the death of the deputy sect leader, Ma Dayuan... Liu Zhen stood shoulder to shoulder with the brothers Qiao Feng, Xuzhu, and Duan Yu, writing a legend together.
From farmer in the fields to hero of the martial world, from naive youth to a man of wisdom and insight, Liu Zhen followed his own path of chivalry in the world of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, a place where heroes abound and old grudges intertwine. With a pure heart and unyielding resolve, he became a great hero of his age.
I must give it five stars. This is martial arts. The writing and plot are excellent. It is much better than the current fan fiction. The character of the protagonist is also very good. I have seen the classic flavor and have been following it. Come on, author!!
The writing is very Jin Yong-like, and the wording is more in line with the traditional martial arts vocabulary. Especially when writing about the improvement of skills, it is very engaging and the plot is relatively coherent and engaging. It does not blindly follow the original work. As a 20-year-old bookworm, I recommend it. It is a good book 👍 👍 👍
Real martial arts
Five stars, the characters are vivid and flesh-and-blood, the storyline is well constructed, and the overall flaws are not hidden.
