A viscous stream of golden light crept across the desk and climbed over the hand gripping his mouse. Through the searing pain, a voice exploded in his mind: “Run! This world is rejecting me, ”
Then he lost consciousness.
When he woke, he was lying aboard the Astral Express. A scorching blue crystal had appeared on his chest: the “seed of light” left behind by a dying giant.
His rescuers said they had found him being surrounded by monsters at an abandoned space station.
His rescuers said they had detected signs of some kind of “control” in the crystalline monsters.
His rescuers said that something was secretly “feeding” on this universe.
Lin Chen gazed at the unfamiliar sea of stars outside the window and touched the mark on his chest.
He didn’t know where the giant who had entrusted him with the light had gone.
He didn’t know how long this light would last.
He only knew
Before vanishing into the rift in spacetime, that golden figure had sent one final signal into the depths of the universe.
And it seemed that signal had received a response.
