Lin Feng's Exorcism by Physics

The yellowed bulb overhead buzzed with the sound of electricity. Lin Feng opened his eyes. Before him stretched a long, narrow corridor. Large patches of plaster had fallen away, exposing blackened red bricks beneath, like rotting wounds. The air reeked of old mold, mixed with a faint metallic tang.

He lowered his head and looked at his hands. No blood. His bones were intact.

“Didn't I die?”

Lin Feng pushed his gold-rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose. His eyes behind the lenses were as still as an ancient well.

His final memory was of standing at the edge of the rooftop of the Lin Group's headquarters. Bankruptcy proceedings, debt defaults, employees demanding unpaid wages... The din had washed over him like a tide. He had taken a step forward, and the sensation of falling, weightless, had felt real.

But now he was standing here.

"Welcome to the Horror Game."
