Set Sail! The Endless Journey

The night was pitch-black, with no stars or moon. Thick black smoke swirled overhead, and the stifling heat was filled with a suffocating smell of sulfur. The charred rock walls and ground reflected the flames blazing in the distance.

Hundreds of men, women, and children, their eyes vacant, trudged across the scorching earth in heavy handcuffs and shackles.

The endless clanking of chains mingled with pained groans, weaving a desperate lament.

Dozens of soldiers clutching rifles watched expressionlessly as the suffering prisoners filed past, one by one.
