The story takes place in the modern metropolis "Xinhui City". Three seemingly accidental but extremely complex suspense cases occurred in succession. The cases are closely related to the absurd reality of the city and the distortion of human nature. Detective Qin Yiran was assigned to assist in the external investigation of the case by chance, and formed an alternative detective partner with assistant Zhao Momo, who was witty and tongue-in-cheek. As the case progressed, they had many confrontations and cooperation with police friend Wei Zheng and psychological counselor Lin Bei. They traveled through real scenes such as urban workplaces, psychological clinics, and social networks, using humorous conversations and clever reasoning to solve the mystery step by step. Each of the three volumes focuses on a main case, but the clues run through it, and the relationship between the characters develops and echoes.
