The Case-Breaker of the Supernatural Bureau

In the fictional Great Yu dynasty, strange cases are rampant and evil spirits run amok. I am Ye Xiao, a mortal agent exceptionally recruited by the Underworld. Bound to the Fated Strange Case System, I take on only cases that defy life and death.

The academy's teaching resources are stolen, and its instructor is murdered? I'll expose the mastermind and reveal my identity, leaving the whole court in awe. A cunning adversary lays a trap to kill me? I'll play along, then turn their own tactics against them. When the final boss appears, I realize with a start that it's another version of me, the dark side of my own reflection!

Neither wholly righteous nor wholly wicked, I do as I please. The System's missions are nothing but pieces on a board. What I want is to overturn this fated game of chess controlled by someone else!
