The story of Su Qinghe, a literary shop owner, and Gu Yanchen, an architect, met and got to know each other in a slow-paced bookstore. He would come every Wednesday afternoon and read by the window; she guarded the bookstore left by her grandfather and found peace among the books. When urban renewal threatened the survival of the bookstore, he silently guarded her; when she fell into confusion, he accompanied her warmly.
