Lin Wanqing, a young lady from a scholarly family in Peking, loves literature but is dissatisfied with the turmoil of the current situation. She met revolutionary Chen Mo, whose ideals and passion moved Wanqing. Wanqing used family resources to help Chen Mo deliver revolutionary news, but was pursued by the Kuomintang reactionaries. The two adhered to their faith and love on the edge of life and death, and finally ushered in the dawn.
